Objectives: To assist in the conducting of Interfaith Medical Center’s Community Health Needs Assessment. To help collect input from patients and community residents in Central Brooklyn. To be involved in community outreach, survey collection, and data entry.
Assignments: Participate in training, attend outreach events (may include some weekend and evening hours), build and maintain partnerships with community groups serving the Central Brooklyn community, recruit survey participants, administer surveys, perform data collection and data entry.
Education Level: Must be 16 years of age or older. High school diploma or G.E.D., preferred. Some college-level educational experience or an obtained Bachelor or Associate degree is a plus. Interns must be affiliated with an institution of learning and working toward a degree, certificate, or diploma.
Other Qualifications: Volunteers and interns must be motivated individuals dedicated to serving the community. Familiarity with minority communities in Central Brooklyn is preferred. Must be an effective communicator and have experience working with Microsoft Excel.
Hours/week: 6-10, flexible

Interfaith Medical Center (IMC) is a not-for-profit community teaching hospital, dedicated to providing high quality healthcare services to the residents of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and surrounding Brooklyn communities.
