ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver

Calling the next generation of change-makers! Habitat Metro Denver’s Youth United program is now accepting applications for our 2016 - 2017 Youth United Steering Committee! The Youth United Steering Committee is comprised of 15 motivated high school students interested in learning more about affordable housing issues while organizing Habitat volunteer opportunities, raising funds to sponsor a home, advocating for affordable housing initiatives, and engaging youth under age 16 in supporting Habitat's mission. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has been building and preserving affordable homeownership in metro Denver since 1979.

We partner with hardworking individuals and families who need a hand up - not a hand out - to build or improve a place they can call home. We know that owning a stable home has a transformational effect on lives that impacts education, health and financial stability.

Habitat Metro Denver has become one of the largest affiliates in the U.S. and has served more than 1,200 homeowners in the Denver area.
