ABOUT TAFA
The mission of Turn-A-Frown Around (TAFA) Foundation, Inc. is to end loneliness, one Forever Friendship at a time. TAFA recognizes that friendships promote health, wellness, and add to an improved quality of life, especially for those needing long term care. This problem is too major, but the solution is too simple to ignore.
JOB DESCRIPTION
TAFA is looking for a People Operations Specialist who will be part of the People Operations team and report to Director of People Operations. The person will support different TAFA initiatives by engaging various projects, facilities, groups, volunteers and data. This position is open to creativity and structure for organizational development and individual development purposes.
- This is a volunteer (unpaid), virtual, for-credit position.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Support various TAFA initiatives in development of TAFA's goals and growth.
- Communicate with Director(s) to complete data collection/research (e.g., radio stations for marketing, facility Smile Station Start-up with mental health, and school collaboration for student engagement, etc.).
- Report findings, questions, and troubles to Director(s) and gain feedback via weekly half-hour Skype/phone calls.
- Perform any ad hoc duties ad required.
Required Experience:
School/work experience in at least one of the following areas: research, reading, Excel spreadsheet work (collecting data), and/or data analysis.
Preferred Experience:
A successful candidate has been exposed to projects/clubs/organizations from scratch or startup environments.

Description
TAFA is a program under the Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey (CSPNJ). While the organization was fully absorbed by CSPNJ in January 2016, we have had their support since 2001.
Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey, Inc. (CSPNJ) is a peer led not-for-profit organization. CSPNJ provides flexible community-based services that promote responsibility, recovery and wellness through the provision of community wellness centers, supportive and respite housing, human rights advocacy, and educational and innovative programs.
