ORGANIZATION: Albany Public Library

The Albany Public Library will be celebrating the end of summer reading with all ages. Paul Rosenberg and Homespun Occasions will bring live music, easy-to-learn American barn dance favorites, and international folk dances. Volunteers will help with set up, break down, and the celebration activities.

Description

The Albany Public Library consists of 7 branches in the City School District; Washington, North Albany, Bach, Arbor Hill, Pine Hills, Howe, and Delaware. You can visit the 7 branches for books and DVDs, music and magazines, classes and workshops, computers and Wi-Fi, tutoring and tax assistance, arts activities and technology programs, study spaces and meeting rooms, movie showings and musical performances, book clubs and author talks, and so much more. Volunteering is vital to the health of the library and the community by providing much needed support to the youth and adults who rely on library services. Volunteers gain the skills and knowledge to help with their professional career and personal life. Student volunteers gain community service credit and valuable job experience.
