Hello!

Caterina's Club is looking for someone who can help deliver pasta to the kids at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Garden Grove on Wednesdays. Garden Grove is one of the areas in which the low-income motel kids of Orange County live in. All we need is for you to pick up the food from the Anaheim White House at 3:00 pm every Wednesday and deliver it to the 2 Boys and Girls Clubs. The clubs are luckily very close to one another. The whole volunteer opportunity should take no longer than an hour and it helps about 200 kids! We are looking for at least a 3 month commitment. Please help us out!

Thank you.

Mission Statement

"To provide food, support, and shelter to the homeless motel children of Southern California, supported by a vision where we are creating a modicum of consistency in children's lives through something as simple, yet meaningful, as a nightly dinner".

Description

Caterina’s Club was founded by Sir Chef Bruno, proprietor of the historic Anaheim White House in 2005. Caterina's Club has a mission of, "providing food, support, and shelter to the homeless motel children in Orange County" and it is supported by a vision where we are creating a modicum of consistency in these children’s lives through something as simple yet meaningful as a nightly dinner. Caterina's Club feeds over 1800 children a night who are struggling with food insecurity. Further more, Caterina’s Club assists qualified families in the transition from a motel room to a safe family-friendly apartment they can call home. We provide the first and last months rent down for a family to move out who is qualified for assistance. We have moved 96 families to date with our Welcome Home Program. Caterina's Club also takes on high school students who are homeless and gives them the tools to work in the restaurant and hospitality industry. They undergo a 12 week course in Chef Bruno's Hospitality Program and learn anything from being a hostess, server, chef, busser, and dish washer. With these skills they are paired with local businesses to provide them jobs after they graduate to end the cycle of homelesness.
