Assistants are needed for inputting casework information and general office work duties, including but not limited to filing, completing employment assessments and client enrollment, drafting staff and volunteer newsletters, and promoting event publicity. Training for assessments and enrollment will be provided by the agency's Match Grant program supervisor. This is a great opportunity for applicants over the age of 18 interested in learning about U.S. governmental systems and refugee advocacy. Time commitment is minimum 3 months, six hours per week. Spanish fluency required.

Description
EMM Miami has been serving refugees in South Florida since 1980. The agency provides services for newly arrived refugees to help put down roots in their first months in the new community. We provides long-term support services, including employment training, financial literacy, job-placement services, as well as specialized referrals to various community providers for refugees with medical and mental health needs.
Volunteers are an essential component to making this a smooth and enjoyable process. We encourage you to invest your time, talents, and skills in the fields of employment readiness, social services support, cultural integration, English tutoring, financial literacy, office assistance, and more.
