Dealing with the paperwork of becoming a resident in the State of Florida and the U.S. can be daunting, whether you're a refugee or a long-time local. EMM Miami seeks volunteers who provide support in social services such as setting up apartments, conducting home visits with a caseworker, providing assistance and transportation to the appointments designated by the agency at the Dade County Refugee Health Center and the Social Security Office, making phone call follow-ups, and more. Learn the ins and outs of the refugees resettlement process and how our agency facilitates clients' transitions into new Americans. Volunteers must be able to commit at least a 3-month commitment. Spanish-speakers preferred, although not always necessary, depending on the activity.
