Position Summary: To be part of a team that is creating and producing the Rockin’ for Research Gala to benefit JDRF. www.rockinforresearch.com
Responsibilities:
Assist with obtaining item donations for the Silent Auction by contacting personal and business contacts or prospects provided by JDRF Gala office
Actively participate in procurement campaign and ensure all auction items are sourced by September 15
Assist with "packaging" items as, required
- Thank donors for their contributions
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
Has personal and business contacts that you are willing to solicit to donate an auction item, or willing and comfortable to cold call and/or follow-up with list of prospects provided by JDRF Gala office
Polished and professional interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
- Experience volunteering in the non-profit sector and/or with events
Volunteer Support and Training:
JDRF will supply letter templates and donation forms
- JDRF will send thank you letters to all donors following event
