Newark Parks Foundation is in need of a photographer to capture the beauty of Newark's Plummer Creek. Plummer Creek is a 2.6-square-mile watershed that shares Newark Slough watershed's southern border and drains a small area of the urban flatlands of Newark and Fremont.

These photos will be used in various ways by Newark Parks Foundaiton and its partners, including educating the public on the importance of litter cleanup to protecte our watershed and related fundraisers; therefore, our organization needs ownership rights to the photos. In exchange, we'd be thrilled to provide you a donation receipt that is tax deductible and provide a wonderful recommendation!

Newark Parks Foundation mobilizes financial and community support to deliver thriving, accessible, supported, and varied parks, open spaces, and recreational opportunities for a healthy and united Newark.

Description

Newark Parks Foundation will support new and existing parks, open spaces, and recreation in and around Newark, California, for the enjoyment and benefit of the citizens of Newark. The Foundation will do so by:

  • Organizing volunteers to build and/or maintain parks and park amenities/structures.
  • Organizing user groups to identify the community’s unmet recreational needs.
  • Applying for grants to support the Foundation’s capital projects and, as needed, right-of-way leases.
  • Identifying partnerships between surrounding cities and park districts.
  • Publishing articles to generate public support for parks and to educate the general public on the state of parks and recreation.
  • Sponsoring/organizing park support events, including trash pickup events.
