Join Georgia WAND in getting out the vote for the upcoming November elections! Through election day, we'll be doing voter registration drives, educational phonebanking, door-to-door canvassing, and giving rides to the polls.
Our voter engagement activities are primarily focused in the Metro Atlanta area.
Help make sure Georgia's voice is heard!

Description
Georgia Women’s Action for New Directions (WAND) is an independent grassroots, woman-led organization that seeks to direct w omen's voices into a powerful movement for social change.
Georgia WAND's WeCount! program builds electoral power in Georgia by engaging with traditionally underrepresented communities via voter registration drives, neighborhood canvassing, phonebanking, and educational forums informing voters about their polling dates, location, and ballot.
Facts:
Large percentages of groups that make up the "Rising American Electorate" (RAE: people of color, unmarried women, and millenials) are not registered to vote.
- 31 percent of unmarried women who are eligible are not registered, representing 28 percent of all unregistered citizens.
- 42 percent of young people between 18 and 29 who are eligible are not registered, representing 31 percent of all unregistered citizens.
- 27 percent of African Americans who are eligible are not registered, representing 12 percent of all unregistered citizens.
- 41 percent of Latinos who are eligible are not registered, representing 16 percent of all unregistered citizens.
-70% of Georgia's unregisterd citizen's live in 37 counties on Atlanta, macon, Augusta, Savannah, Athens, and Columbus, making them easily reachable
