Employment readiness volunteers are needed to assist our R&P and Matching Grant Program caseworkers in preparing clients for the workforce. Our volunteers provide employment workshops that teach refugees strategies for online and in-person job searches, techniques for resume writing, interactive mock interviews, and career counseling and guidance. Volunteers must commit to a minimum 3-month commitment for six hours a week on average. Spanish-speakers highly preferred.

Description

EMM Miami has been serving refugees in South Florida since 1980. The agency provides services for newly arrived refugees to help put down roots in their first months in the new community. We provides long-term support services, including employment training, financial literacy, job-placement services, as well as specialized referrals to various community providers for refugees with medical and mental health needs.

Volunteers are an essential component to making this a smooth and enjoyable process. We encourage you to invest your time, talents, and skills in the fields of employment readiness, social services support, cultural integration, English tutoring, financial literacy, office assistance, and more.
