Job Purpose:

The Box Office is usually the first point of contact for most guests attending the festival, therefore they set the tone for the guest experience. The BO Manager makes sure this team delivers an excellent customer experience. There will be BO teams at each festival venue with a BO Coordinator at each venue.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Trains volunteers to assist in box office transactions and customer relations.

  • Oversees set up of box office ticketing systems during festival.

  • Oversees refunds, mailing of tickets, box office hours, prior and during festival.

  • Oversees customer complaints when necessary.

  • Refunding oversold screenings.

  • Informing the theater of sold-out screenings.

  • Informing the management of potential oversells or problems.

  • Informing the marketing staff on the status of individual screenings and pass sales as needed/ current tickets regarding event capacities.

  • Sends a daily report to Volunteer Director and Festival Producer.

This position is a seasonal position and requires approximately 20 hours in August and approximately 50+ hours during September. Festival dates are Wed, Sept 28 - Sun, Oct 2.
