Volunteers needed to plan Fundraising Event - Multiple positions available

And the people who answer it are fulfilled.

The American Cancer Society of New Orleans is looking for several volunteers to help plan our Tenth Annual Celebrity Waiter of East Jefferson, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kenner on September 9th. This event will bring together business owners, politicians, and community leaders of the New Orleans metro for a night of food, drink, and entertainment, all to benefit the live-saving work of the American Cancer Society.

Celebrity Waiters will invite 10 guests, who will "tip" their Celebrity Waiter based on the excellent service they provide. "Excellent service" includes, but is not limited to, singing karaoke, dancing on stage, replacing guests' plastic silverware, bringing salt and pepper shakers to the table, or telling a joke. The more entertainment a Celebrity Waiter can bring to the event, the more money they will raise for the fight against cancer.

We are looking for several volunteers with various skillsets and time commitments, and all positions are available immediately. If you are passionate about the movement to end cancer and are looking for a meaningful, challenging, and fulfilling way to pursue it, we want you!

-Communicating with and securing Celebrity Waiters and sponsors

-Seeking out donations for our live and silent auction

-Assisting with event logistics

-Social media marketing and publicity

-At least 20 "back-end waiters"/ hostesses to assist Celebrity Waiters with serving food, refilling drinks, etc

-2 bartenders to serve wine, champagne, and "signature drink" ( must have bartending license)

-Registration volunteers to welcome guests as they arrive and give them their materials

-Live and silent auction volunteers to monitor auction tables and determine winning bids

-Check-out volunteers to collect tip sheets and complete payments from donors using ACS FUNdraising app
