Crew leaders work under the direction of the construction site supervisor. Crew leaders work with small groups of volunteers (2-6) completing assigned tasks. This position is primarily one of organizing and assigning volunteers to appropriate tasks, maintaining quality control in a diplomatic manner, keeping volunteers involved and troubleshooting. The position requires a good understanding of the construction process or the desire to learn the process and teach others how to proceed with a task.
As a Construction Crew Leader, you are an integral part of building homes and better neighborhoods in our service area (Kootenai County). This might include hands on construction tasks such as, demolition, site prep, framing, insulations, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry, and landscaping. You can give us a boost to significantly increase the number of families our affiliate is able to serve through our programs and construction projects.

Possess a sincere desire to serve others and are dedicated to Habitat’s mission.
Enjoy people and have a passion for volunteerism and teaching/group facilitation
Have strong team building skills and are comfortable leading and/or being part of a team.
This volunteer position would be most ideal for someone with a flexible schedule of availablitly. Our A Brush with Kindness projects are generally scheduled during the week starting in the early morning (8:30am - 2pm).
