Assist adult students as they work to improve their quality of life by improving their basic literacy and academic skills, and study to obtain their HSE (formerly known as the GED). Free tutor training is provided by The Literacy Alliance.
The Literacy Alliance currently has five learning center volunteering opportunities offered. Volunteers can help the whole time or just an hour a week (or anywhere in between)!

Description
Learning centers enable adult students to prepare to earn their High School Equivalency (HSE, past: GED) and strengthen basic skills for job training and post secondary education. One-on-one tutoring helps adults strengthen their basic reading, math, and language skills.
