Aquatopia, Inc. a new not-for-profit is in search of a Marine Scienetist to join our volunteer team. The mission of Aquatopia, Inc. is t o restore the life, diversity and abundance of marine ecosystems and to ensure that our oceans are a remarkable source of fish that will feed the world.

As a pominent part of the Aquatopia team, you will need to show evidence of the following:

strong analytical and interpretive skills;
meticulous accuracy and attention to detail;
teamworking skills and a willingness to take on the challenges of seagoing research and life on board ship;
inquisitiveness and tenacity;
competency in a range of computer packages;
experience in practical areas such as scuba diving, boat handling and first aid;
strong communication skills for report writing, conference presentations and grant applications;
experience of habitat mapping and species identification;
enthusiasm and commitment to the field

It is our Board's vision to build a training center where research, scientific discoveries and training can take place. This position would be a prime considertaion for joining the team as a paid member of our team as funding sources become available to support our reasearch. It would be most benefical to the organzation if you were located in Florida though others will be considered.
