We are seeking a volunteer to assist with managing our finances. This would be a weekly commitment of approximately one to two hours - scheduled at the volunteer’s convenience - based in our Leimert Park office.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
Bookkeeping for a small or medium-sized nonprofit organization
Experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO), specifically:
Using (Adding to) a nonprofit chart of accounts, as needed
Using QBO classes to allocate expenses to programs and to restricted funding streams, and allocating common costs (Also using Excel to perform allocations, if necessary, and then booking the allocation in QBO using journal entries)
Experience with QBO sub ledgers and general ledgers
Producing reports from QBO and in Excel, as needed.
Experience creating efficient Excel timesheets for tracking employee and volunteer time, and booking into QBO as needed.
Understand unrestricted, temporary restricted, and restricted Nonprofit accounting
Booking journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
