Indiana Historical Society is once again bringing our History Train exhibit to the State Fair. Visitors can step inside this redesigned train and learn about some of our very own Hoosier entrepreneurs....but we need your help!

Volunteers are needed to help with questions and crowd flow in two shifts: 8:30am-2:30pm M-F and 2:30pm-8:30pm. Weekend shifts will be 8:30am-2:30pm and 2pm-8:30pm Volunteers will be both indoors and outdoors with access to chairs, drinks and snacks. The exhibit will be open from August 2nd through the 18th with the above mentioned shifts each day.

IHS also provides support and assistance to local museums and historical groups, publishes books and periodicals; sponsors teacher workshops; and provides youth, adult and family programming.

From interacting with our guest to working with our historic collections, IHS has a great volunteer opportunity that is right for you.
