The Institute for the Study of Religious and Anomalous Experience (ISRAE), is offering a volunteer Internship to help modify its web technologies for its ongoing research. This position is perfect for college Seniors or recent graduates looking for job experience. This position is also a good fit for individuals looking for work experience to re-enter the work marketplace.


The ideal applicant will have:

  1. A passion for the scientific, cultural, and psychological exploration of paranormal experiences.

  2. Proficiency in HTML, Java, PHP, MySQL, or related languages

  3. Familiarity with Google apps and creation of such.

  4. Ability to integrate user survey data into Google maps.

  5. Ability to manipulate and create data arrays.

  6. Ability to create custom web user interfaces and data retrieval programs.

  7. Previous experience completing functioning websites for the purpose of data collection and display.

  8. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


The duration of the Internship is six months, with the expectation of completed project at the end of that time. Successful applicants will receive appropriate references and endorsement for completed project, as well as percentage profit rights for any monies derived from the project. Ongoing membership in the organization is also available. A non-disclosure agreement is a requirement for this internship.

ISRAE is a non-profit research institute containing students, professionals, academics, and veteran investigators devoted to the sci entific study of haunt phenomena and religious experience. Our simple goal: to conduct and collect scientifically valid information and data about anomalous phenomena for the purpose of scientific publication.
