ORGANIZATION: Home School Association for Military Families

The Home School Association for Military Families, www.hsamf.org, is in need of Super Hero Board of Directors.

All applicants must have prior board or leadership experience. All must be Holy Spirit filled Christians who believe in excellence in ministry.

HSAMF is looking for a full board: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership, and General Board Members.

This is a nation wide organization and has a solid membership and programs. The lack has come in board members who have lacked the experience and biblically solid foundation to lead the organization; its executive director and source of funding, therefore limiting growth.

Super Heroes who are able to commit to 2 years, give a minimum of 5 hours a week, and strategically lead are needed. Deadline to apply is December 20th, 2017.

General Position Summary (as each specific board position will vary slightly):

Responsible for helping HSAMF to achieve financial goals, objectives and increase operating performance. Prepares budgets, creates businesses plans, and solves internal issues as they arise.

Essential Functions:

  • · Attend all board meetings
  • · Identify and oversee ways to maximize revenue
  • · Work with committee to prepare budgets
  • · Analyze financial reports
  • · Identify and lead new business opportunities
  • · Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization
  • · Work with all board members to secure funding grants for the organization

Requirements:

All applicants must have prior board or leadership experience. All must be Holy Spirit filled Christians who believe in excellence in ministry. Must commit to lead for 2Years. Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage others with enthusiasm and passion for the mission of HSAMF

  • Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction in a positive manner

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects with attention to detail

  • Understanding of homeschooling and/or military families preferred but not required

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred but not required

    Hours Required:

    Work from home, any time of day. Hours vary, average 5 hours a week. Requires a 2 year commitment.
