Make a Dinner for our Families
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, Inc.
Do you belong to a group or organization and want to find a volunteer opportunity that up to 4 of your group can do in the late afternoon (approx 3-5.30pm)? Then this opportunity might just be for you!
We invite small groups to come to the Ronald McDonald House and prepare a lovely home cooked meal for our families. Dinner groups will purchase the food, then prepare it in our well equipped kitchen. You will be making food for between 10 and 20 people.
Dinner groups should be no larger than 4 people - if your group is larger than 4 please request a second date to accommodate everyone who wants to help. At this time we cannot accept minors (17 years and younger) to participate in this activity. Please visit https://rmhlv.org/get-involved/dinner-program/ to see open dates, sign up and find out more information. Sorry we cannot add individuals to groups.
The families that stay at Ronald McDonald Houses are often far away from family and other support systems that would help them through a difficult time. They return to the House after a long day at the hospital, and cooking a meal for themselves may be low on their priorities. The chance for these families to sit down to a home-cooked meal is another way that makes the Ronald McDonald House truly a "home away from home" for families whose children are critically ill.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
