Pen Pal Program Coordinator

Position Summary:

Pen Pal Program Assistant will be responsible for enhancing HSAMF’s Pen Pal Program. The candidate for this position reports to the Executive Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for creating and implementing plans for the growth and development of HSAMF’s Pen Pal Program.
  • Calls each member to make a personal contact and to survey member needs and interests.
  • Works with Pen Pal Coordinator and Executive Director to improve and enhance the literacy program.
  • Responsible for design and sending of bimonthly PenPal TidBits via Constant Contact and social media outlets.

Requirements:

Strong written and verbal skills a must. Enjoy working with people, enthusiastic personality. Strong organization and time management skills. Flexibility. Proficiency at Microsoft Office Word, and Excel. Willingness to learn simple marketing e-mail program; Constant Contact and eTapestry.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage others with enthusiasm and passion for the mission of HSAMF

  • Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction in a positive manner

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects with attention to detail

  • Understanding of homeschooling and/or military families preferred but not required

  • Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred but not required
