Provide support to the growing programs of a North County San Diego non-profit. Apply budding business skills to coordinate logistics and to help streamline program efficacy for an organization whose output has grown by 300% since 2015. Assist with logistical plans and activity execution, oversee the central calendar, attend community meetings, and write or edit marketing messages for web.

The ideal Volunteer will be comfortable interacting with the community and have a strong personal interest in what it takes to build and run a non-profit business.

Volunteer to provide support in process of gleaning fresh produce to feed the food-insecure and to support the zero waste movement. Tasks will be varied and job performance will require a personal vehicle, proof of insurance and CA driver’s license. Such activities will take place in North County, in the Encinitas area.

The hours and tasks are flexible, based on scheduled events and intern needs and goals. We hope to maximize the learning experience and to give visibility into all aspects of the business.

Expect to attend one meeting per month in Encinitas, up to 3 events, and work from home on computer and phone.
