Do you have experience in the education field? Are you a college student in a human services field? Do you want to have a positive impact on your community? Do you enjoy helping people who have the greatest challenges in life?
Places for People is looking for volunteers for our Basic Adult Education Program! Tutoring occurs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am - 12pm.
Anyone with experience working with people with mental illnesses and/or education are encouraged to apply! Help us to make this program successful! Assist clients as they learn basic literacy, math, sciences, history, and computer skills. Tutoring is one-on-one, so that our clients can receive the attention they need to succeed!
Clients are being turned down time and time again for different employment opportunities because they have little to no education. Help them towards recovery through guiding and assisting with lower level through high school level math, language arts, science, geography, and composition.
