The Oakland Museum of California is recruiting volunteers to interact with visitors and lead tours for school groups, adults, and families in our Gallery of California Art. No previous experience is required. We are looking for people with wide-ranging backgrounds to share their talents, perspectives, and enthusiasm for California with our diverse Bay Area audiences.
Training begins on August 17, 2016 and continues every Wednesday morning, 9:30-12:30, through June 14, 2017. This dynamic training will include art history, tour techniques, storytelling, improvisation, and lots of fun, engaging activities with classmates, staff, and veteran docents.
