Recreational therapy achieves residents goals in a distinguishes unique service. Incorporating resident's interests, and the residents family and/or community makes the therapy process meaningful and relevant. Recreational therapy is extremely individualized to each person, their past, present and future interests and lifestyle. Unique perspective regarding the social, cognitive, physical, and leisure needs of the patient. The Concept of healthy living into treatment to ensure not only improved functioning, but also to enhance independence and successful involvement in all aspects of life

Heritage Legacy Recreational Volunteer Program: is very versatile activity program if you play card games, Bingo, musical instrument, or any special interest you are welcome. We are open to new ways to trying improve our residents recreation program.

If you are in the interest in building your resume, we can help you improve your resume to increase your chances in getting your next job.

Current Volunteers to give you an idea of what you can bring to our Community:

Guest Speaker: Current Events, Sports, Stock Market, Wellness, History

Pet Therapy: If you have a pet you would like to show our residents and give some background of the animal(s)

Bingo Caller: We are always looking for volunteers to call Bingo

Lead a Card Game: Hand and Foot, Gin Rummy, Spades, or a game you would like to share

Music Therapy: Play an instrument, come in and do a sing along of a few songs that you know

Comedian: Want to tell us a funny story or jokes you are more than welcome to

Help with Exercise: Want to lead or assist in an exercise class we could always use the extra hands

Art: If you have intrest in Art and want to lead or assist a group in a craft or painting, great way to build moral

Compainon: Get to know a resident one on oneto build friendship and talk about current events and life. Great way to make a new friend with lots of knowledge.

There're lots of ways to volunteer and make a difference, please, come and make a difference.
