We are seeking a grant writers with formal training/ certification and/ or previous grant writing experience to be a part of our Grants Committee. Experience and proven success with grant writing for operating funds is a plus. We are willing to work with new grant writers. Also we can provide access to Foundation Directory Online Professional. Committee members will be responsible for researchig grant submission opportunities, writing inquiry letters and proposals, and tracking grant submissions progress.

Long Beach Organic strives to promote sustainability and raise awareness of environmental issues by providing organic garden plots to Long Beach City residents. We have accomplished this mission by seeking out vacant lots in the city and transforming them into vibrant community gardens in an urban environment.

Help LBO Continue to Grow and Serve Our Community by volunteering!
Long Beach Organic, a 501 c (3) nonprofit, relies on the support of the community to make community gardens possible in an urban environment. Each of our unique locations adds value and neighborhood improvements to all the communities we serve by transforming once vacant and blighted lots into thriving community gardens. Our gardens help unite communities, promote wellbeing, provide education, and encourage sustainability in the City of Long Beach.
Our gardeners enjoy getting their hands dirty and harvesting the fruits of their labor, while also supporting those less fortunate in the community by donating excess produce and volunteering to maintain our plots designated for charity.
