Assist Special Events Coordinator with Burn Institute Auxiliary and Fire Fighters Advisory Council (FFACBI) events that benefit the Burn Institute. Assist with securing donations for fundraising auction and working on other tasks to create a successful event. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assisting the Special Events Coordinator by identifying and securing auction donations.
2. Assist with other special event planning activities.
3. Positively represent the organization throughout the community.
4. Other duties as assigned.
Strong verbal, writing and computer skills desired. Some proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred. Detail oriented, focused on meeting deadlines, and able to prioritize. Must have the ability to work independently and also effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, donors, and the public.
This opportunity will provide "real world" experience for an individual interested in building a special event designed to raise funds for a local non-profit. Volunteer provides own transportation to the Burn Institute (Kearny Mesa area) and is asked to maintain an established schedule during normal business hours on weekdays. We are willing to be flexible with your schedule and welcome a commitment of 4-10 hours a week. No phone calls please.
