We are seeking out dedicated and passionate volunteers for this amazing opportunity!! The role of the Wish Granter is to make the wishes of our wish children come true through creativity and imagination. We currently are in desperate need of Spanish speaking volunteers who can help us with our Spanish speaking wish kids and families. Wish Granters visit the family and interview the wish child with the intent to determine the child's wish and obtain required paperwork from the parents/legal guardians. This position requires excellent people skills, sensitivity and dependability. Wish Granters have the privilege of seeing first-hand a child's most cherished dream become a reality. It is the most special and intimate way to volunteer. It can be very life changing for everyone involved. We hope you consider helping us make wishes come true!

Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Description
Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses who are referred to us between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years of age. Our Wish Kids live in our 49-county service area. Once a child is eligible, volunteers and staff take care of every detail to grant that child's most heartfelt wish. We serve approximately 200 wish kids a year and have over 300 volunteers across our territory helping us to grant each wish. Our office is located in Raleigh, in the North Hills area.
