No STEM background required, but definitely a plus! Help lead a STEM scouts lab! Using easy-to-follow curriculum and supplies provided by BSA STEM scouts, we are looking for adults who are interested in exploring science, technology, engineering, and math along with children and youth! Groups of about 15 girls and boys (3rd through 5th grades; or middle school, or high school) will be doing hands-on, fun activities based on topics such as robotics, nanotechnology, computer programming, plant populations, electric circuits, urban ecology, and pneumatics, among other things. We are looking for about 3 adults per 15 students. Meetings would be held once a week for 90 minutes, and once a month, students would either go on a relevant field trip or have a guest activity during the typical lab meeting.
