The Trail Center is an all-volunteer organization that, on one Saturday each month, constructs and maintains hiking trails in the Bay Area.
On this workday, we’ll be working with the CA State Parks staff to install retaining structures and to perform other tread and drainage repairs on sections of the Slate Creek Trail. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of and develop some basic skills in constructing retaining structures. Previous experience is not necessary. The Trail Center will provide all training, tools and gloves, and there will be refreshments at the end of the workday. In this workday is cancelled due to rain, the alternative workday will be Saturday, January 21, 2017.
