Stray Haven:
- Rescues cats from high-kill animal controls, the streets, and abusive situations.
- Spays/neuters all of our rescues prior to adoption to reduce cat overpopulation.
- Spays/neuters feral cats to prevent the births of hundreds of homeless kittens.
- Fosters and finds homes for our rescued cats through adoption events or via the internet.
- Screens potential homes to ensure that they will provide a stable, loving, and permanent home for our rescued animals.
- Provides counseling to our prospective adopters regarding pet behavior and care, training, diet, and animal welfare.
- Takes in feral kittens and tames them, thus enabling them to get into loving homes.
- Provides assistance to local animal shelters by pulling animals housed in those shelters to minimize the number of animals that will be euthanized.
