The SDCHM hosts a variety of public and private events that require hands-on support from dedicated volunteers. These events include gallery openings, film screenings, and holiday celebrations.

At the present time, we are not hosting in-person events. When we resume in-person events, we will need help with the following tasks during these events:

* Gallery setup and takedown such as chairs, tables, decorations, and signs
* Visitor check-In including guest lists, admission, and directing visitors
* Refreshments management such as restocking food and drink, and serving on a buffet line
* Attending to guests by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting any immediate service

Special event volunteers will be notified on a regular basis of the upcoming events. We will post opportunities, once we resume in-person events.
