The Immigration Legal Services Intern will primarily support all aspects of immigration case management. This includes preparing various immigration forms, conducting legal research, drafting letters and memos, communicating with government agencies, maintaining records in our immigration system, and completing other necessary tasks. The Immigration Intern will work closely with MRC legal staff to ensure successful case completions.
No prior immigration or legal experience is required. However, we do ask that you possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well both independently and with others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Possession of, or currently completing, a bachelor's or post-secondary degree
- Commitment to serving low-income immigrants
- Ability to commit to 10-15+ hours per week for 3-4 months
The internship is unpaid; however, prospective interns are welcome to apply for academic credit through their institutions. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.

Migration Resource Center was founded in October 2015 to provide a comprehensive range of immigration services, youth education, and legal tax representation. Migration Resource Center was granted 501(c)(3) designation, effective October 8, 2015.
We help individuals, families and businesses get the legal services and information they need to succeed in their communities.
