Serenity Hospice is looking for volunteers that would like to provide any of the following services In Salem, Eugene and Surrounding Cities:

  • Certified therapy pet volunteers
  • Music Therapy/Instrumental Volunteers
  • Veteran Volunteers
  • Spiritual Healing/ Prayer Volunteers
  • Socialize with our patients
  • Provide companionship
  • Read or Sing to our patients
  • Prepare a simple meal or snack
  • Playing a game/cards with our patients
  • Bereavement support
  • End of life vigil support
We also have Volunteer office opportunities such as creating patient packets, answering phones, organizing donations, bereavement mailing letters and providing patient check-in calls.

Description

Using a holistic approach, Serenity Palliative Care and Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients (and their families) experiencing end-of-life transition. We believe that no one should die alone, afraid or in pain. Pin management is our main priority and alternative therapies are offered as a complementary means of treating pain. Serenity is also a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans Program. Serenity has developed our own V.I.P. Program as a special level of care designed for Veterans.

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • After initial training time, 1+ hour per week
  • For the safety of our patients, a drug screening, background check and tuberculosis test is required. The cost of these will be covered by Serenity Hospice.
