Advisory Board members are vital to our Education Assistance Program. Working remotely and individually, members evaluate and grade K-12 teacher applications for supplies and financial assistance for academic projects in under-resourced schools serving the underprivileged. No experience as an educator is required as we value the diverse views of members of varied backgrounds. Members can be engaged for 4-5 hours a month or 15-20 hours a month, as their schedule and their preferences allow.
Internet access and basic email skills are required. Attentiveness to deadlines is essential.
There is one restriction: ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS MAY NOT BE EMPLOYEES OR VOLUNTEERS, OR RECENTLY RETIRED EMPLOYEES OR VOLUNTEERS, IN ANY SCHOOL IN THE DELAWARE VALLEY.

Mission Statement
to make life 'a little more fair' for people experiencing poverty, disadvantage and/or discrimination by enriching K-12 education, furthering innovative, sustainable efforts of people to better themselves and their communities, and, when resources allow, meeting emergency needs of individuals, families and small organizations serving our target populations.
Description
The Delaware Valley Fairness Project is a 501(c)(3) corporation working to improve opportunities for the underprivileged and people otherwise excluded from society's main stream. Our flagship program is our Education Assistance Program through which we provide supplies and funds for creative, sustainable learning opportunities in under-resourced K-12 schools and sponsor student events such as science fairs, art competitions, essay contests and the like in such schools. We also are launching a program to work collaboratively with other nonprofits to foster self-sufficiency among economically and socially disadvantaged people.
