Guna Foundation is a Berkeley-based, non-profit film studio specializing in Buddhist documentary films. Our mission is to open a window to the beauty and majesty of the Tibetan cultural heritage. Our all-volunteer staff is seeking part-time team members. We are looking for a personable, resourceful and results-oriented individual who is interested in independent film and cultural preservation, and the magical place where they intersect.
Guna’s last two films, Light of the Valley and Prayers of the Ancient Ones, were both aired on PBS stations across the country and were screened at select theatrical venues and prestigious museums in the US and Europe. We have just completed our third film, The Great Transmission, a feature-length documentary film about the survival of Tibetan Buddhist texts, which is garnering awards from film festivals across the nation.

Mission Statement
Since its inception, the mandala of TNMC has grown with a long list of accomplishments. The Guna Foundation was created in 2009 to share the accomplishments of the TNMC mandala with the world, and to ensure that its valuable work to save the Tibetan culture is able to continue long into the future.
Using dynamic digital media, we seek to share the profound vision of our founder, Venerable Tarthang Tulku for the Tibetan Nyingma lineage in the West.
Description
The Guna Foundation archives historical footage; creates web media, photo exhibitions, and promotional material; and produces documentary films all in-house at our studio in Berkeley, CA.
