Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising event and is the number one fundraiser aimed at eliminating cancer in the world. Each year, four million people at over 6,000 events in 24 countries participate in this overnight walk to fight against this disease that takes too much from too many. Relay For Life events raise critical funds that fuel the mission of the American Cancer Society, an organization that touches the lives of so many. Relay For Life events not only raise money for cancer research, but for services that focus on improving a cancer patient's quality of life as well as cancer prevention and early detection programs.
The Relay of Life of Stratford is looking for some passionate, energetic, movers and shakers to become a part of our Event Leadership Team! This team plans and executes the Relay For Life of Stratford. Event logistics, recruiting teams to join us on the track, marketing the event, planning our cancer Survivor reception, creating and facilitating event ceremonies, scheduling entertainment and activities - these are just a few of the many opportunities and responsibilities taken on by our team of dedicated volunteers aimed at eliminating cancer once and for all!
