We need dog walkers to interact with our shelter dogs and help take care of them in hopes of getting them adopted. Most of our dogs and cats get adopted within a few weeks or months. It's a very happy place with caring people and playful, affectionate dogs that will bring a smile to your face! We are a no kill shelter so dogs stay with us until they are adopted. We also need fosters. It's a fun place to volunteer.

Mission Statement
Bergen County Protect and Rescue is a No-Kill Animal Welfare Facility located in Cliffside Park. It was founded in 2012 by Bergen County's very own local Animal Control Agency and concerned citizens. The idea of creating a no-kill facility came to be when animal control officers were forced to take lost and abandoned animals to surrounding veterinarians and animals shelters.
