The Town of Longmont is going for Zero Waste at the second annual Colorado Latino Festival! In partnership with Barrio E’ for a second year in a row, the Colorado Latino Festival, dubbed by its hashtag #latinxfest, will showcase the City of Longmont, Colorado as one of the most diverse cities in the state, highlighting its Latino diversity, heritage, culture, music, gastronomy, prominent figures and trends highlighting demographic, social and economic forecasts. Eco-Cycle and the Latino Chamber staff will be working hard to divert all event waste from the landfill, and our success hinges on volunteers like YOU to help out!
Volunteering at a Zero Waste Event is fun and easy. You'll work as a Zero Waste Station "Goalie," making sure event-goers put their waste in the right place. You'll also help out with setting up or breaking down zero waste stations. Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one two-hour shift. Longer shifts are always optional.
The following volunteer shifts are available until filled:
12:00pm-2:00pm (8 volunteers needed)
2:00pm-4:00pm (8 volunteers needed)
4:00pm-6:00pm (8 volunteers needed)
6:00pm-8:00pm (8 volunteers needed)*
Please contact bill@ecocycle.org to confirm your shift(s). On the event day, please arrive at the Eco-Cycle truck, which will be parked on 3 rd and Kimbark, 15 min. prior to your shift. Additional instructions for participating will be sent via email by Friday, June 23.
