BOARD APPOINTMENT

We wish to ensure that every Board Member appointment is successful.

Therefore, we ask that each Board Candidate to self-identify and area(s) of interest and/or competency to serve on one of our Committees prior to his/her formal nomination.

Service on a Committee should be a minimum of six (6) to twelve (12) months, prior the Candidate’s nomination. This allows the candidate and our organization an opportunity to determine if we are a good fit for each other.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

• 1) Nominating Committee
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Board Recruitment / Succession Planning
    • Member Onboarding / Mentoring
    • Professional Development / Committee Assignments
    • 2) Fund Development Committee
    • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Develop and implement Individual Giving Relationships
    • Develop and implement Corporate Giving Relationships
    • Fundraising Events to meet the operational budgets
    • 3) Finance Committee - Brian Hungerford, Chairperson
    • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provide financial oversight on behalf of One Bread Foundation, Inc. and the Board of Directors
    • Review and approval of the annual budget
    • Ensure that the fiduciary responsibilities of OBF and the Board of Directors are met. This includes, but is not limited to: Contract Reviews, and an annual third-party audit, as required
