Mobile Pantry Guidelines for Volunteers
sanitation station should also be installed in the building lobby, entry way, or other area before entering the distribution area.
Volunteers should also wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before touching any distribution surfaces or food items.
Volunteers should be asked to re-wash their hands if they sneeze, cough or touch their face.
All volunteers should be asked these standard coronavirus screening questions immediately after they arrive (or, Ellen would have asked these questions during their initial intake)
Have you, or anyone in your household, been diagnosed with or tested for COVID-19 within the past 14 days?
Have you been in direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with or tested for COVID-19 within the past 14 days?
Do you, or anyone in your household, currently have a fever or have in the past 24 hours?
Do you or anyone in your household have a persistent cough and/or respiratory symptoms in currently or in the past 24 hours?
Residents are not allowed to unload, sort, or distribute food items.
All volunteers must wear a mask. We will provide gloves at each site. Let us know before-hand if you would like us to provide a mask.
Volunteers should practice demonstrate social distancing strategies, which includes keeping at least a 6 foot distance when possible.
Volunteers should limit personal items brought into the building such as purses, hats, scarves, etc.
Volunteers must be accompanied by a staff member when on different areas of site.
Volunteers are encouraged to leave the building immediately after the distribution has concluded.
