The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support & research. Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, and almost two thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s are women. Alzheimer’s is the only cause of death in the top 10 in America that cannot be prevented, cured, or slowed.

The Des Moines WALK is Saturday September 16th in front of the State Capitol. Registration will begin at 8:00 am. T-Shirts and snacks will be provided at the event.

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals or groups who are interested in supporting the event in the following areas:
