We are hosting a two- week-long day camp: July 9-,20 focusing on helping these youth foster a positive experience through creative Film expression. Our camp features activities on acting, creative writing, filmmaking and much more. We are seeking volunteer camp counselors to co-lead our summer camp sessions at a local Youth Center. We are seeking volunteers who can commit to 6 hours a day for at least a five-ten day period. We are a looking for volunteers who can bring an energetic and enthusiastic attitude to help empower local teens and have fun. SKILLS: Volunteers should enjoy working with youth, serve as a positive role model for campers, provide dependable, responsible support for staff and campers.

Some of the things that you will be doing: helping out with/their lessons, activities, and chaperone field trips (The Lot Studios, USC, Sony, Youtube, etc), as well as go w/them to Knott's Berry Farm on Thursday, July 19, Lunch will be provided every day!

The Dr. Barbara Seniors Harkins Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California and Homestead, Florida. The late Dr. Harkins believed that all children, regardless of race, gender, or class, deserved to enjoy the best possible future. She devoted her life to providing underprivileged children with the support and encouragement they needed. Through the Foundation Dr. Harkins’ legacy of compassion will live on.
