Be a Foster Grandparent!

Volunteering at a Missoula County School can change a childs life. We are seeking people age 55 and over to mentor children in a school setting. Foster Grandparents assist the teacher with children at a higher risk of failure than other students in the class. If you are reading this, you are qualified and able to help a child today.

As a Foster Grandparent you will mentor a child with acedmics, change the future of a life today, and receive a TAX-FREE STIPEND.

For a minimum of 15 hours per week, you can use your experiences to change a childs life. For more information conact Adrienne at Missoula Aging Services - Senior Corps Progam at 406-728-7682 or recruit@missoulaagingservices.org. No experience necessary, we provide training.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD

The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors age 55 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving caregivers for children and youth with special needs. If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent, you must meet income eligibility guidelines, and you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents serve 20 hours a week, usually 4 hours a day Monday through Friday, serving children directly with one-on-one, hands-on service. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, some meals during service,and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
