Do you love fresh, local food and cooking things from scratch? Do you want to get to know the farmers who grow your food and have a voice in how your local farmers’ market is run? If so, then we need YOU! Our Market is looking for people who are passionate aboutlocal food and community building, love working with people, and aren’t afraid to pitch in when help is needed.
The downtown Palo Alto Farmers’ Market is a completely volunteer operated and run market, with a working Board dedicated to bringing local farmers and the community together.
The Board is comprised of individuals with various backgrounds in all stages of life, who share a passion for good food and our community. We currently have openings for indivudals wishing to participate in the downtown Palo Alto Farmers' Market.
The Palo Alto Farmers’ Market operates every Saturday from 8am-12pm from mid-May to mid-December.
Board responsibilities include: Attending monthly board meetings, volunteering for at least 2 Saturdays per month at the Market, and serving on various projects when needed.
While we accept volunteers of many ages, please note that the position at times requires carrying and lifting objects (i.e. tables, chairs, signs, etc). If accepted, we do require that all new Board volunteers commit to a minimum of one year.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Palo Alto Farmers' Market is to enhance the quality of life in the Palo Alto area by:
Description
Palo Alto Farmers' Market has provided local growers a venue to sell their goods and interact with the community since 1981. We take pride in the long-standing relationships forged between our vendors and our residents. Our belief is that the freshest, highest quality products come from our local growers, and we happily support and respond to strong demand from our community.
At the end of each growing season we donate our net profits to Avenidas, a non-profit agency serving mid-Peninsula seniors. We are proud to be an active force in our community and to help Avenidas further its goals.
The Palo Alto Farmers' Market was initially set up as and still remains a California 501(c)4 non-profit public benefit corporation. We are run by a volunteer board of directors and a Market Manager.
