Do you take satisfaction in keeping things tidy? Put your skills to work and help maintain clean facilities for the many visitors to the Louisville Nature Center. Tasks include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and wiping down counters and touchable surfaces. Volunteers are asked to come once a week, Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. This opportunity is open to volunteers ages 15 and older and would be ideal for students in need of service hours.

Mission Statement
To provide nature education and encourage stewardship in an urban forest.
Description
A truly unique community resource, the Louisville Nature Center offers wonderful opportunities for nature study and recreation--right in the heart of the city!
Among our unique features are: a native wildflower garden and pond, butterfly gardens, hiking trails through the Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve, a one-of-a-kind bird blind, wildlife exhibits, Beargrass Creek watershed exhibit, a meeting room, and our library--a great place to do research and spend some time indoors when the weather is too hot, cold, or rainy to study nature outside.
