Be a part of the evening as we all enjoy the outdoors with great music at Naper Settlement's annual Naper Nights Community Concert Series, Friday, August 17, 2018 and Saturday, August 18, 2018!

Friday Night:

School of Rock 5-5:40 PM
Local music school, School of Rock, will be showcasing their top students during this rock n’ roll set featuring songs we all know and love!

Soul Shine 6-7:30 PM
Soulshine - An Allman Brother Band Tribute, features veteran Chicago-area professional musicians who share a mutual love for the iconic southern rock legends. "Soulshine" keeps the torch going, playing everyone's favorite ABB songs, as well as performing some of the songs Duane played on before the Allman Brothers. If you liked listening to "Live at The Fillmore East", Eat A Peach, and the Brothers' first 2 albums, you’re going to love seeing "Soulshine!"

Chicken Fried 8-10 PM
Authentic vocals, authentic music, and an authentic band! This is as close to the real deal as one can get as a Zac Brown fan. Elton Lammie, an award winning vocalist, is the lead singer for the chicken fried tribute show. Chicken Fried includes all the great songs and radio hits of ZBB in their show as well as some of the unexpected songs that Zac throws in their live concerts.

Saturday Night:

School of Rock 5-5:40 PM
Local music school, School of Rock, will be showcasing their top students during this rock n’ roll set featuring songs we all know and love!

Planet Groove 6-7:30 PM
Playing hits from the 60's to today, Planet Groove's 7 piece line up (featuring a 3 piece horn section and 7 vocalists) plays high energy dance music, artists such as Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Sly and The Family Stone, Van Morrison, Bruno Mars, Motown, etc... !

Bluffet 8-10 PM
This show will have the conga-lines moving with an amazing EIGHT PERFORMERS ON STAGE! Complete with beach-type props and costuming, you will believe this IS the real deal!! The amazing look and vocals of Larry Pearson will have you convinced you have been transported to "Margaritaville"!

Come join us for fun, food, music and history at Naper Settlement! Simply complete a volunteer application to begin the process (available on sign up site, see below). All volunteers must have one on file before their shift.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Note: volunteers under 18 are required to submit a new form for each event.Volunteers under 18 will be unable to participate without parent/guardian signature.

New volunteers will receive a summer season t-shirt at check-in and all volunteers will receive dinner. Please email nsvolunteer@naperville.il.us with questions.

Description

Naper Settlement is a history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. Through its costumed interpreters and 30 historic buildings located on the 13-acre grounds, history is brought to life with educational and hands-on activities for 150,000 visitors each year.
