Help us to prevent child abuse and neglect in our surrounding community! We are an organization that is dedicated to risk and child abuse prevention. Child abuse can occur in many ways including not providing enough diapers, wipes, formula, clothing or having specific infant furniture such as a car seat or bassinett.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Help us collect infant items.
HOW: Gather a team or organization of at least 5 members. Email or call AHEART to confirm and we will assign you an infant category (ex: Female 3-6 months) on first come, first serve basis.
THEN: You and your team will collect as much as you can until the Mega Baby Shower on July 29th. An event in which all teams get together and bring their donations. *Enjoy food, prizes, a short presentation, and games*
You will also receive a certificate for participating in saving a special aheart baby. That's it. It's easy to help so...

It's easy to help! AHEART aims to strengthen families and other care givers in serious need. The grandmother taking in her grandchildren on a fixed income, the aunt and uncle that live paycheck to paycheck but didn't want to lose their neice and nephew to the foster care system or mother that desperately needed to leave an abusive relationship and now has nothing. We have A HEART for these infants in crisis, will you?

Mission Statement
Our mission at AHEART is to provide emergency assistance to infants in crisis, prevent out of home placement, decrease infant mortality by providing essential infant items, and partnering with community members and organizations to advocate for the lives of infants and their families.
Description
AHEART is open to families with infants and children under age 2 that are in serious need. Participants must bring in their child and a referral to receive assistance. We provide educational classes on a variety of topics because our aim is to build our participants up and not just be a family service agency that gives "hand outs".
AHEART’s main focus is to mentor and support teen mothers. Often these young girls find themselves homeless and in desperate need of daily support. Many times infants fall subject to government welfare programs due to long waiting lists, waiting periods between birth and assistance, and the lack of basic baby supplies.
