Jul 20 - Aug 2 - artSEA : Jessie & Katey

Wed, Jul 20, 201610:00am

Thu, Jul 28, 201611:00pm

The Seattle Center 305 Harrison Street Seattle, WA, 98109 United States

The World is Fun's artSEA Project will be hosting artists Jessie + Katey here in Seattle as they paint an 8,500 square foot ground mural at The Seattle Center Campus. This is a unique TWIF volunteer opportunity for you to be front and center with this project!

Volunteers on these shifts will be onsite as painting takes place and will serve two primary functions:

1. Answering questions for visitors of the Seattle Center and distributing information about the project and The World is Fun

2. Providing assistance to the artists while they work. This may mean preparing items for them, making beverage runs, organizing supplies, etc.

This volunteer position will play a crucial role in ensuring that the artists stay on schedule. Two volunteers will be scheduled per shift and it will be a great way to enjoy the summer and give back!

Mission Statement

The World is Fun (TWIF) is dedicated to making volunteering fun & social for Seattle people, businesses & nonprofits by creating, promoting and expanding charitable events.

Description

We’re not your grandparents’ charitable club. We’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization here to make volunteering a fun and social experience for Seattle people, businesses, and nonprofits. We seek to banish the ol’ bake sale stereotype and get you excited about giving back to your community by broadening the scope of volunteerism and revamping existing charitable programs. Our mission is to remind you that volunteering is not a chore - it makes the world fun!

TWIF works within Seattle communities to create new opportunities for people to give back in a way that is social and philanthropic. We connect people to volunteer activities that fit each individual’s interests, passions, and busy schedules while introducing them to a new network of friends.
